About Joslin

I am a tutor who has 5 years' experience teaching in an Outstanding inner city London School. I have experience teaching the A-level and GCSE curriculum, and have a strong understanding in both developing content knowledge and helping students grasp what exam questions are asking them to do. I am very familiar with the structure and grading of the new exams, and will ensure my students are fully prepared. I have achieved outstanding results with my classes, and pride myself in identifying where students need help, as well as how to encourage them to learn for themselves whilst providing necessary guidance. I am passionate in problem solving and will always try to share this passion with my students, no matter their ability! Students I teach will not only work on their skills, I will also ensure they can reason clearly, know what to do when they get stuck and work on their problem solving skills so they can tackle more advanced questions. University : - University of Leeds - Mathematics and Philosophy [2:1] School : Latymer Upper School A Levels - Maths [A] - English [B] - Music [C] Latymer Upper School AS Levels - French [C] Other Qualifications : Whilst teaching I was Assistant Head of Year and Key Stage 3 Coordinator. As Key Stage 3 Coordinator I was involved in developing the curriculum, implementing problem solving and re-writing exams and assessments.

During this time he demonstrated excellent subject knowledge on a consistent basis and always thought carefully about how to deliver this knowledge to the students in an effective and engaging manner. His classes regularly achieved outstanding results and students always enjoyed his lessons. Joslin is passionate about the subject and will work hard to ensure students have a full understanding of the material he is covering. I would recommend Joslin without question.
