About Stephen
I am Stephen. I have university degrees in physiology - BSc (Physiol) and MSc. However, I only worked part-time with this qualification (as an administrator in a medical practice) for a few years.
After going to teach English in China with teams in the summer seasons of 2007 and 2008, I chose to train online to be a qualified English teacher and obtained a certificate in "TEFL" (teaching English as a foreign language) and taught small classes and groups, part-time, for over 3 years.
Later, I studied for a Diploma in Administration Work (what was mainly using Microsoft Office apps) but there were not many jobs where I moved to in Bracknell, Berkshire, especially during the Lockdown period. For this reason, I decided to learn to teach English online, so I studied for this with an online course (with i-to-i) and got a higher (Level 5) certificate in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (including teaching one-to-one and online).

I can help you learn English for £10 / hour in weekly (or twice per week) daytime online lessons. Lessons will be 1 hour long (at Elementary or Intermediate level) on zoom, where you can learn and practise English by talking with me (or with other students starting from July), answering questions and writing answers. I will teach you tenses, vocabulary and pronunciation for fluent and accurate speaking, listening, reading and writing, using my own lessons adapted for you from online material (e.g. the British Council, or "Handouts Online"). I will assess your level in the first (free) lesson.
I taught small classes several years ago, and currently tutor a small weekly class of A2 level students (who have moved to the UK from Hong Kong, Ukraine and Iran) as a team volunteer.
My qualification: Gatehouse Awards Level 5 Certificate in Teaching English as a Foreign Language, including "teaching one-to-one and online"
