• 1) When did you develop an interest in your chosen field and in private tutoring?

  I wanted to share my skills in academia and academic writing. As we finish university life and go into the working world, we have to adjust our writing style to suit the company we work for, however, I never wanted to lose my academic style of writing, so I felt one way in which I can hold on to this is by passing on all my knowledge to students.

• 2) Tell us more about the subject you teach, the topics you like to discuss with students (and possibly those you like a little less).

  I teach Business related subjects, so this can be cover a broad range of topics, at different levels, such as GCSE, A-Level and University level.
  
  
  I also help with academic English, helping students produce an assignment that their supervisors and lecturers will be happy to read because it's written in a way that they expect within their workplace.

• 3) Did you have any role models; a teacher that inspired you?

  I had a lecturer at university who taught me several modules throughout my undergraduate years, not only did he teach us theoretically, but he had real life experience on working on huge marketing campaigns, so it was great to hear from a practical perspective too.

• 4) What do you think are the qualities required to be a good tutor?

  Understanding your students needs, what level they are currently working at, and trying to push them to achieve above that level.

• 5) Provide a valuable anecdote related to your subject or your days at school.

  When I was doing A-Level business, our entire class applied to be on The Apprentice Juniors. In class we created our business plan ready to present to producers.

• 6) What were the difficulties or challenges you faced or still facing in your subject?

  In general, the world of business, moves at a high speed, I like to know what new trends there are, so they can be incorporated as examples in my classes to make discussions topical and up to date.

• 7) Do you have a particular passion? Is it teaching in general or an element of the subject or something completely different?

  What makes me most happy is the students I teach. I have come across the most inspirational and motivated individuals that really inspire me so much!

• 8) What makes you a Superprof (besides answering these interview questions :-P) ?

  Well, I have vast knowledge both within and outside of my subject area. I am adaptable to helping students with their many needs, be it assignments, exams or general knowledge. I'm flexible, so I can help students in time for their deadline. As well as always being open to learning something new myself!
