About Greg
I'm an award winning jazz composer and trumpeter with over ten years of teaching experience. I've spent the past five years as a graduate teaching assistant at the University of Northern Colorado, where I taught music lessons, directed ensembles, and substitute lectured classes. I am currently completing my dissertation for my Doctorate of Arts in Music.
I have compositions published by UNC Jazz Press. My compositions have been performed by professional ensembles such as the US Air Force Airmen of Note and the Colorado Jazz Orchestra.
In 2019 alone, I was awarded the grand prize for the New York Youth Symphony’s First Music Jazz Commission, ASCAP’s Herb Alpert Young Jazz Composer Award, and two Downbeat Student Music Awards.
