This is Vishnu Priya, pursuing my final year in Social Work. I have actively taken part in many of the Training Programs for Social Work students and one such is the Certified Training Programme in Psychological First-Aid conducted by the University of Madras. I particularly chose this topic considering the current scenario. The ongoing Covid 19 pandemics has taken a toll on the Mental Health too!! It has serious effects on the mental health of individuals causing trauma and various other post traumatic effects. It has apparently reduced the productivity of the individuals and social disengagement. Hence the objective of this Training Program is to:
1) Restore the mental health of the individuals
2) Enhance social functioning of the individuals
This 3 day Training Program will cover the components of RAPID Model along with various case illustrations and real life experiences and practical examples.

I have conducted debate shows and and have done various presentations on Social Work Theories and their application. I have organized various developmental programmes for backward communities and hence, I am aware of the current problems people face.
