About James

I like to work hard and play hard. If you are putting in the time and work to practice so we get thru lessons plans faster we will have flexibility in doing more of what interests you.
I Believe public performance should be a goal and objective every year but am flexible in what that looks like.
I went to U of Missouri and my MBA Georgia Tech. I served as a peace corps volunteer in the Andes of Peru for 2 years in a mud hut with no bathroom. In 2019, I was in an international leadership development program living and working in 5 countries in one year: Nigeria, Ghana, Peru, Singapore, and Chicago. I recently moved back to Chicago (Edgewater) from Nebraska

About the class

I like to discuss the intentions of students, objectives, and expectations so that we can create a learning plan that pleases all parties. I can do get them from chopsticks to My Heart Will Go On which is like first 4-6 years of lessons.

I like to personalize lesson structure, content, incentives, and homework based on learning style, personality, & interests.

I don't do beige or boring. Always positive and building people up: My goal is to be the highlight of a kids week, not the obligation.
And as a bonus, I’m a wizard at school projects and college/scholarship appreciations so can help tutor as well.
