About Andrew
As a History student at University the question I hear the most is "What is the point of History"? On the face of it, it seems like a legitimate question, why is the benefit of studying events and people centuries into the past? Yet, in reality, the study of history is a quintessential aspect of our contemporary Social and Political discourse. From studying Magna Carta we are able to understand the foundations of British Democracy. By studying the Slave Trade we are able to understand contemporary issues of Race. By studying the rise of figures like Hitler we are able to see the fragility of modern democratic traditions.
It is this understanding of History that makes me so keen to teach and inspire aspiring history.
As someone who obtained A*s in both GCSE and A Level History and has now studied it at University for 3 years, I feel I am well placed to do so.
I additionally have past experience in tutoring from my time in Sixth form where I would routinely volunteer to mentor and teach GCSE history students.

In doing so I will ensure that any student is fully equipped to handle all GCSE and A Level history assessments.
