About Bohuai
My journey with the violin has been quite unusual; never entered any conservatoire programme nor followed a conventional, systematic learning process. Partially because I learnt my techniques from numerous teachers with very different approaches and styles in their play, but each of them had a unique energy that motivated me to do something similar as I move forward. Generally, I just want to share this instrument with others, helping them to know and eventually appreciate it. Additionally, having some cash to pay for my groceries while in university sounds incredible

The lessons are focused on collaborative learning strategies...which means we'll chat a lot. I will closely follow every step of the learning process and monitor your progress throughout each lesson. Occasionally, I'd provide friendly assignments for you to complete in your own time, testing your effort. Most importantly, just have a fun time and enjoy the playing process. Beginners / Intermediate levels are all welcome. The ideal age interval for students is between 12 and 18. Of course, exceptions can be made if reasonable :)

I had 3 violin lessons with bohuai, his multiple camera angles make it super easy to see the strings and fingerboard clearly, and he gets my pace as a beginner, would recommend.
I’ve been taking lessons with Bohuai for 2 months now and I can already see my progress. We mostly practiced some songs I liked and requested. He is a great tutor, and our sessions were friendly and enjoyable.
Great teacher, was able to figure out what my level of playing needed and give incredibly helpful knowledge. He’s also rly passionate about the instrument and it really shows. Great guy
