About Laxmi
My Approach as a Biology Teacher
I believe Biology becomes much easier and more interesting when students understand the concept instead of simply memorizing it. As a teacher, I always try to make my classes simple, interactive and connected to things students can relate to in everyday life.
I usually begin a class with a quick discussion or recap of what the student already knows. Then I introduce the new concept step by step, using simple explanations, diagrams, examples and questions. I encourage students to ask questions freely and I make sure they understand the concept before moving ahead.
I don't follow exactly the same method for every student. Some students understand better through diagrams and visual explanations, while others learn better through discussion, examples or practice questions. I try to understand the student's learning style and adapt my teaching accordingly.
For exam preparation, I give special attention to NCERT concepts, important diagrams, application-based questions, answer writing and examination practice. I also help students identify the areas where they are struggling and work on them patiently.
One of my strengths as a Biology teacher is my experience with different curricula. I have experience teaching CBSE as well as Cambridge IGCSE, AS and A Level Biology. This has helped me understand that students at different levels need different approaches and different kinds of guidance.
My classes are mainly for Classes 9–12 students, including CBSE and Cambridge students. I also guide students preparing for NEET Biology.
More than just helping students get good marks, I want my students to feel that Biology is something they can understand, enjoy and confidently learn. My aim is to make students comfortable enough to ask questions, make mistakes and learn from them.
