I teach The Power of Us, a marriage and relationship communication course developed by Dr. Richard Marks and The Relate Well Institute. As an instructor and facilitator, my goal is to create a welcoming, practical learning environment where individuals and couples can explore the patterns that influence communication, connection, conflict, and relationship growth. My approach is conversational, practical, encouraging, and focused on taking what we learn beyond the classroom and into everyday life. My Background I bring more than 40 years of combined experience in business, professional ministry, education, leadership, mentoring, counseling, and working with individuals and families through challenging circumstances. My professional and ministry experience has given me the opportunity to work with people from many different backgrounds and life circumstances. I believe one of the most powerful things we can give another person is the opportunity to be heard, understood, respected, and encouraged to grow. My teaching style is warm, interactive, practical, and rooted in real-life application. What You Can Expect This isn’t simply a lecture. I encourage questions, discussion, reflection, and practical application. Depending on the student’s needs, we can discuss real-life communication situations and explore ways to apply the concepts to everyday relationships. My goal is for students to leave each session with greater understanding and practical tools they can actually use.
