About Jeanette
My name is Jeanette, and I am a TEFL and ESL certified English tutor with a Bachelor of Arts degree and a genuine passion for helping every learner succeed — especially those who learn differently. In addition to ESL and ELL instruction, I teach ELA and structured phonics using research-based methods grounded in the Science of Reading — including explicit phonics instruction, phonological awareness, and multisensory techniques designed for struggling readers and students with dyslexia.

I also hold badges in AI in Special Education and Generative AI in Special Education, which means I stay current on the most effective, research-informed strategies for learners who need a different approach.

That said, every session includes a warm-up to activate prior knowledge, a focused skill-building segment in phonics, spelling, or writing, and time for guided practice with real feedback. I build lessons around your pace — not a calendar. Progress matters more than speed.

For younger or struggling learners, I incorporate phonics patterns, word families, and spelling rules that actually stick.
