About Nicole
I like to be as transparent as possible, a 'what you see is what you get' kind of thing. I do this because I believe the students deserve the respect that teachers expect. If you are disrespectful and withhold information, then how can you expect your students to be respectful and forthcoming? At the age of 14, I took part in the DCU Young Talents course online, which I found quite enjoyable. After that, my life went in many different directions, but I never stopped writing. I would have scraps of paper tucked into textbooks, while others doodled with drawings, I doodled with plot ideas. If I wasn't writing, you'd find me reading. Ya know those girls walking down corridors reading? Or sitting alone in a corner with natural sunlight, nose deep in a book? Well, that was me. The quiet girl with the fantasy books, and I loved it. It helped me learn to think for myself. I want to give that to my students, the freedom to learn and think for themselves while remembering to stay on topic and express themselves clearly.

I will be teaching through discussions and mini assignments, with the aim to make my teaching applicable to all learners, whether they be audio, visual, or kinesthetic learners. I wish to provide a good learning environment for them all. I would aim for a typical lesson to be approximately 1 hour, and will allow 15 minutes at the end if there is anything that either the student or a guardian wishes to discuss regarding the lessons. While I have not had formal tutoring experience, I have assisted younger family members as well as friends with various aspects of their English studies. I have also studied English in college and did a Young Talent course on creative writing when I was 14 years old. These lessons are for students of all ages and levels.
