I am a highly qualified and experienced social worker, teacher and trainer who has retained a passion and commitment to her work for over thirty years; as evidenced by my continuing personal development and progression in my career roles. I am realistic, creative, imaginative and innovative in management roles and in complex cases utilising a range of social work practises and techniques.
I have an extensive background in completing all types of assessment for courts and within Local Authorities, such as Form F, SGO reports, Connected Carer’s assessments, reporting in relation to Contact issues, Parenting assessments and Specialist Parenting assessments where they are mental health, addiction problems or high risks associated with a child returning home.

I have extensive knowledge and experience of recent developments in social work and in the changes to the role of the IRO. I have a continuing interest in how mental health issues impact upon parenting, and life chances; I trained and practised as a psychotherapist in private practice for 15 years, as well as being a Student Counsellor for over ten years.
