I am an experienced and highly effective Online Maths Tutor, qualified teacher, and exam marker for GCSE Mathematics with over 17 years of teaching experience across a diverse range of educational settings. I hold a degree in Drama and a PGCE in Secondary Mathematics from the University of Sussex, bringing a rare combination of analytical clarity, curriculum insight, and engaging, structured teaching to my lessons. As a specialist Maths Tutor, I have extensive experience teaching GCSE and iGCSE Maths across all major exam boards, including AQA, Pearson Edexcel, OCR, WJEC, and Cambridge Assessment International Education. My approach is structured, supportive, and results-driven. Lessons are carefully tailored to each student and typically include a combination of clear explanation, guided practice, and exam-style questions designed to build both confidence and accuracy under timed conditions. I will typically start with retrieval and then move on to topic teaching in chunks, following up with exam-style questions, and setting optional homework. I have been known to set Blooket and Kahoot activities at the end of group tutoring sessions. Students typically see clear improvements in both confidence and exam performance within a relatively short period of focused study.
