Am a lady with passion for good spellings, not just to spell ,but know the meanings. It burdens my heart whenever I see children that goes to school not knowing how to spell words within their stage.
My mode of teaching is this:
I bring out new words, spell them, tell the child the meanings and ask the child to do same.
I give homework to ascertain the rate at which the child learns. I also introduce novels for children by so doing they get conversant with words.
