About Adam
During my studies of Maths at GCSE, I was specifically sought out and selected for the Further Maths GCSE course, which I took whilst teaching a struggling friend after school and even teaching the top-set class of 30 once when the teacher was ill.
While at Sixth Form, I chose to teach Maths during my lunch times at the Jane Austen College to help GCSE students catch-up, so I am very familiar and passionate about the study of the course.
For almost 4 years before the COVID-19 Lockdown in March 2020, I assisted as a Young Leader at my local Scout group, helping at both the Beaver and Scout Patrols every week, helping other Leaders by running activities and leading in my own nights and camps.

My lessons are designed for GCSE Maths students of any ability, I am willing to teach anything from the basics of Maths to the advanced Further Maths GCSE Course.
Each lesson will take roughly an hour, but I am always available to take a while longer if the student is willing and hasn't quite grasped the current topic.
There will be a shorter baseline lesson first where we will look at each section of content in their exam board's syllabus and rank them on how confident the student is on each subject.
Before the next lesson I look at the rankings and create a reasonable flow for the order of which the content will be taught.
I will always try to tackle the biggest obstacles in the syllabus, but sometimes it is essential to close the gaps in the knowledge of the basic topics, so the advanced content becomes much easier to understand.
