If you want to learn Tamil in an easy and understandable way, focus on practical use rather than memorizing everything at once.
1. Start with Everyday Spoken Tamil
Learn common phrases first:
Vanakkam (Hello)
Eppadi irukkeenga? (How are you?)
Nandri (Thank you)
En peyar ___ (My name is ___)
Saptiya? (Have you eaten?)
Use these phrases daily.
2. Learn the Tamil Alphabet Gradually
Tamil has 12 vowels and 18 consonants. Learn a few letters each day and practice writing them.
3. Listen Before Reading
Watch simple Tamil videos, children's stories, or beginner lessons. Listening helps you understand pronunciation and sentence patterns naturally.
