About Po
Hello, my name is Vijayakumar, I am from Kerala, India. I’m really excited about the opportunity to teach English. As regards my education, I hold postgraduate qualifications in Business Administration and Social Work. Basic degree is in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. These have helped me develop a deep understanding of diverse fields and perspectives. In addition, I have worked as a Lecturer at universities for about two years, where I taught Management subjects and interacted with students from different backgrounds. I also have experience as an HR Specialist in corporates both in India and the Middle East combined which has allowed me to develop strong communication and interpersonal skills. The job involved engaging employees at all levels in corporate training mainly in classroom setting. Here, I could interact and communicate with employees of different ethnic origin. I was an active member of Toastmasters club and that has inculcated in me great enthusiasm for public speaking. These exposures have enriched my understanding of business language and professional English, which I’m eager to share with students. English has been my medium of education and so with an advanced level of English, I am confident in my ability to teach not only grammar, vocabulary & communication but also to assist students in enhancing their conversational skills, business English, and academic writing. My approach to teaching is interactive and personalized, aiming to cater to each student’s individual needs and learning goals. I look forward to the opportunity to help students improve their English language skills and achieve their personal goals.

Hi, friends, I feel privileged to talk to you on English. English as we all know, is the most widely spoken language in the world. Its importance can be discerned by seeing the way people in non-English speaking countries are running from pillar to post to teach their present generation of younger ones English, if what we see on the Internet is any indication. But the catch lies in using the grammar of the language. We know that in order to play any game we do it according to the rules of the game. Using a language is also no exception; the rule here becomes its grammar. Well, let me conclude just with one point; that is punctuation in English. Among various punctuation marks I take the tricky one, that is 'comma'. In a class the teacher gave a sentence to students which ran like this. Woman without her husband is a savage. Students were to put comma at appropriate place(s). Boys wrote woman, without her husband, is a savage. The girls retaliated woman! without her, husband is a savage. It needs no further talk on the importance of punctuation which is a serious item component of grammar. Thanks for your attention.
