As a qualified counsellor and experienced social work practitioner, my tutoring approach is warm, strengths-based, and tailored to each student's learning style and goals. I combine academic support with practical insights drawn from over 15 years of frontline and leadership experience in the social work sector, including child protection, mental health, policy, and community development.
My teaching methodology focuses on making complex theory accessible and relevant. Typical lessons run for 60 minutes and can be extended upon request. Sessions are structured but flexible, depending on whether we're reviewing assignments, preparing for placement, discussing theory, or practicing interview or case note writing skills.
