About Renee
I am a Registered Nurse with a diverse clinical background that includes intensive care nursing in both cardiac and neurology, as well as experience in hospice, home care, hyperbaric medicine, and leadership within a primary care setting. This broad range of experience allows me to support nursing students across multiple subjects while maintaining a strong focus on clinical judgment and patient safety. Throughout my career, I have worked closely with nurses and students at different stages of their professional development. I understand the challenges of nursing school and the pressure that comes with preparing for the NCLEX. My approach to tutoring is centered on helping students develop strong clinical judgment and confidence, rather than relying on memorization alone. I focus on teaching students how to think like a nurse, which is essential for both nursing school success and passing the NCLEX.
I use structured frameworks such as patient safety, ABCs, acute versus chronic conditions, stable versus unstable patients, and expected versus unexpected findings to help students consistently approach questions. I encourage students to verbalize their reasoning so we can identify gaps in thinking and correct the process—not just the answer.
