About Jon
Hello, my name is Jon Chiluisa, and I am currently a soldier in the United States Army. I graduated from Fairfield University with a 3.97 GPA majoring in English (with a concentration in professional writing). I love to tutor students and watch them grow as writers in whatever subjects they're interested in. Writing is nothing more than a means of communication; whether you're pursuing a career in the medical field, law, military, law enforcement, marketing, finance, etc., writing will be an important tool for you to communicate effectively with your audience.
Writing professionally is tough for many folks. A lot of us were taught at a young age to add a lot of words and complex vocabulary to sound as fancy as possible. I'm here to break those writing stereotypes down and show you how to communicate effectively and efficiently while still engaging your audience.

I believe the best way to learn is through doing. Isolated training exercises can be helpful, but getting your reps in through multiple iterations of writing drafts is what will truly help you become a powerful writer. Together, we will sit down and go through each draft of a given assignment you have, and continually pick at it and revise it until you have a masterful grasp of what a scholarly essay or professional mode of communication ought to look like. Every finished assignment you create with me will become a helpful reference for you in future assignments. I'm here to teach you how to fish, not to give you freebies. When you don't need to spend your hard-earned money on tutoring, that's when I know my job is complete.
