I'm a mechanical engineering student at Temple, and I've actually been where you are — sitting in front of SolidWorks trying to figure out why a sketch won't fully define, or why a mate keeps failing, with a project due in two days.
I'm CSWA and CSWP certified, and I currently work as a SolidWorks TA, so teaching this specific software isn't something I picked up to make a few bucks — it's something I already do, every week, for students at my own school. I know where people actually get stuck, because I've watched dozens of them get stuck in the exact same spots.
But the bigger reason I'm a good fit is that I don't just know the software — I use it for real engineering. I lead subteams on Temple's Formula SAE race car, where a bad SolidWorks model doesn't just cost you a grade, it costs you a part that doesn't fit on the actual car. I also do research in a lab using SolidWorks alongside MATLAB and ANSYS for predictive maintenance modeling. So when I teach you something, I can tell you not just how to do it, but why it's done that way in real design work — tolerancing, assembly structure, drawing standards, the stuff that separates "it works" from "it's actually a good model."
