About Alexander
My names is Alexander Smith, I am 19 years old. I study Computer Science at Royal Holloway, University of London.
The reason why I am tutoring, is because I’d like to help those people who struggled like I did in GCSE, I also could see how much people struggled at the subject in A-Level, including my friends, of which I wish I helped more. I also want to use this as extra learning in my University course, it will help me get a better understanding of those fundamentals to my course.
I have a major passion for the subject, I’ve been interested in computers since the age of 8 when I got my first computer, I have progressively got better and better and had a huge interest in it for majority of my life.

I can teach for any exam board, I will use given resources by that exam board and tools of my own. I will show them how I learnt to study Computer Science and then implement methods that the student prefers.
I used to have tutors myself, however, I feel as if I never got what I could have gotten out of them. They noticed I was struggling but kept doing what they knew. It’s my job to understand the student I am tutoring, and tailor my knowledge to their understanding. I will find tools and methods to aid them in their study.
I have also tutored in programming classes before, which can be difficult for a lot of students to understand, nevertheless, all of them did very well in final exams. I believe I can give many examples and cases which the student can use to reference the information we covered that lesson.
My typical lesson length is 1 hour, however, this can be discussed and changed to longer or shorter if need be.
I have studied Computer Science since year 7 (GCSE) and again at A-Level. I received an A* as my final grade at A-Level. I also started programming at the age of 8 years old and I have my own business in the industry of a web developer.
