About Jack
I am a current engineering student at the University of Durham, having taken my A levels in 2023, and receiving A*AA in Psychology, Biology and Maths respectively. I have had some experience tutoring before giving maths tutoring primarily to GCSE students last year. Whilst not pursuing further study in psychology, I have always had a strong interest in the subject causing me to take it at A level. From extensive reading out of interest and discussions with my mum (who has a PhD in psychology, and currently works as a therapist), I believe I have developed a strong background knowledge of the subject which will aid me in teaching it.

I am comfortable teaching psychology at levels A level and below, with lessons of whatever length is preferred. I believe my familiarity with this subject, having studied it so recently will be of aid during teaching, having recently learnt the material puts me in a good position to assist students who may be struggling with the material, as I likely experienced similar struggles. My background places me well to teach students who are struggling with the research methods part included in the vast majority of psychology courses. This section is typically worth a large percentage of the marks, and having written several Lab reports throughout the first year of my degree, I have experience in areas such as Hypothesis writing, the experimental method, statistics and many others.
