About Issy
My name is Isabelle Winnington, I’m an 18 year old student studying music teaching at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. I’m passionate about teaching singing to young people as I believe it is an extremely valuable skill and something that brings a lot of joy. I have been doing vocal studies for over 10 years and I now receive private tuition by a professional opera singer as a first study singer on my degree. I would love to pass on these skills to the next generation of singers.

I work on improving vocal technique by using a variety of skills I have learnt from professionals in the industry. In a lesson we will look at vocal warmups to improve different areas of your voice, as well as working on pieces/songs of your choosing. I have worked mainly with children, teaching songs in primary schools and teaching in secondary music classrooms, so an age range of 5-16 would be preferred to ensure the best results. Singing should be fun and in my lessons I promote an enthusiastic environment which encourages the student to engage and progress in their singing abilities. I can also help teach music reading which is an extremely useful skill for a singer.
