I have been an avid writer and journalist all throughout high school and am passionate about teaching! I have been tutoring on and off for the past three years, however, I have mostly tutored in math subjects. Students I have tutored often are able to improve their grades within a semester.

I am very patient. My approach is to lead students to find solutions, not simply telling them what to do and what not to do. Essentially, critical thinking is tied to my method of tutoring. When my tutee cannot understand the way I have explained something, I take pride in finding a different way to explain because not all brains work and learn the same.

Details
My rates vary according to the level of the student. My first lesson with a student is free and this first lesson will be telling of how much assistance the student will need. I am assessing the student's level on this first lesson while helping them, however, if I find that the student is behind the curriculum they are learning in school, I am happy to supplement their homework with additional lessons so they can be caught up.
