About Emanuela
Hi! I’m a student from the UK currently studying medicine abroad. I decided to start tutoring because I really enjoy helping others understand things in a clear and simple way, especially when something initially feels confusing or overwhelming.
Having gone through the UK education system and sat the 11+ myself, I understand the pressure and expectations that come with these exams. I remember how stressful it can feel, which is why I aim to make my lessons as supportive and encouraging as possible.
I’ve also had experience working with children, and I enjoy creating a calm and positive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and building their confidence.
For me, tutoring is not just about improving results, but also about helping students feel more confident in their abilities and less stressed about learning.

My approach to tutoring is focused on making students feel comfortable, confident, and supported while learning. I understand that the 11+ can feel stressful, so I aim to create a calm environment where students can build both their skills and confidence.
In my lessons, I focus on clear explanations, step-by-step guidance, and regular practice with typical 11+ style questions. I help students understand how to approach questions, not just memorise answers, and I also introduce simple exam techniques to improve time management and accuracy.
A typical lesson lasts around 60 minutes and includes a mix of practice questions, explanation, and review of any mistakes to reinforce understanding.
I am originally from the UK and sat the 11+ myself, so I understand the structure and expectations of the exam. As a medical student, I have developed strong study techniques and a clear way of explaining complex topics in a simple and understandable way. I also have experience working with children, which helps me adapt lessons to each student’s needs.
My lessons are suitable for students preparing for the 11+, typically between the ages of 7–11, and I tailor each session depending on the student’s level and confidence. I can also provide short summary notes after lessons to support revision between sessions.
