About Miriam
I interview and score candidates for entry into Bristol Medical school. This gives me unique insight into the medical school admission process and what interviewers are really looking for on interview day.
For 2022 entry, alongside a consultant colleague, I asked candidates their interview questions and scored them on their performance. The marks we provided went towards their ranking for a place. As a result, I am both up-to-date and competent in teaching medical school applicants how to excel in their interviews.
While interviewing, we created a list of common things that applicants should avoid doing and saying during their limited interview time. I also noted some really great things that candidates can do in their interview to gain as many points as possible per question. I would like to share what I know with tutees who want to add some extra flair to their interview style.
I am familiar with the mark sheets that Universities use to rank candidates for offers to Medical school and have been working hard to create material to help candidates fully portray all they have to offer in their interview.
I provide extensive personalised feedback and prepare candidates thoroughly for the interview process of both panel-based and MMI interviews.
