About Nelisiwe
I believe in teaching as a life long journey that not only stops inside the school grounds but carries on even after secondary and tertiary school.
I became an aerialist at the age of 25 without any previous gymnastics training. I take pride in this because it is proof that anyone can achieve anything that they want to if only they put their minds to whatever goal that they want to achieve!
The atmosphere in my classroom is exactly the same. I perceive all children to possessing the potential to be a high achiever as long as their needs are nurtured and high performance is expected from all learners in the classroom.

I have made a great effort to work on a global perspective of teaching. I have au paired overseas and worked in international schools.
My teaching is a response to the students in my care as I believe that education should not be isolated to everyday life! I make an effort to integrate technology int my lessons as a means to stimulate my students in similar ways that they spend their spare time at home playing educational games on devices.
I am proficient and able to teach in English. I have taught Afrikaans and isiZulu as a secondary language too!
I teach all levels in the Foundation Phase. That includes learners who need help with foundational knowledge and skills in learning areas and learners who excel and are looking for extra stimulation through enrichment activities.
