About Sara

I HAVE SERVED ON DOCTORAL STUDENT COMMITTEES FOR 10 YEARS.
THIS IS MY JOB. I AM ALSO A LICENSED PSYCHOLOGIST SO I CAN HELP YOU MANAGE ANY ANXIETY TOO:)
I ENJOY THIS.
I'M A TENURED FACULTY MEMBER.
I WILL MAKE SURE YOU UNDERSTAND WHAT WE DID...SO YOU CAN ANSWER YOUR COMMITTEE'S QUESTIONS INTELLIGENTLY.
I HAVE BEEN ON COMMITTEES WHERE A STUDENT PAYS LITTLE FOR A STATISTICAL CONSULTANT AND GETS LITTLE IN RETURN. NOT COOL.
I WILL ANSWER ALL OF YOUR QUESTIONS AND BE AVAILABLE FOR FURTHER HELP IF NECESSARY.
I REGULARLY PRESENT AND PUBLISH MY FINDINGS.
I TEACH STATISTICS CLASSES - ALL OF THEM - TO OUR DOCTORAL STUDENTS.
I DON'T HAVE A TON OF TIME - SO I AM EFFICIENT AND WANT TO MAKE THE TIME I SPEND WITH YOU WORTHWHILE FOR THE BOTH OF US.

What I can help you with: Pretty much any stat you throw at me. We will discuss your hypotheses and data analytic plan. I want to make sure you are adequately testing your hypotheses. I'm a fan of parsimony. So the statistics that you do need to make sense and need to cover the most ground. I can help you with the basics (data entry issues, psychometrics, descriptive statistics, etc.) and also more advanced issues (hypothesis testing, writing up your results, etc.). I can help you with univariate and multivariate statistics. T-tests, Chi-square, all types of ANOVAs, as well as path analyses and structural equation modeling!
