About Zoey
Hi! My name is Zoey, and I am a dual-degree student studying Physics at Spelman College and Mechanical Engineering at Georgia Tech. I have experience with a wide range of STEM courses including algebra, calculus, differential equations, linear algebra, and physics. I understand that math can feel frustrating or overwhelming sometimes, so I focus on creating a supportive and patient learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and working through problems step by step.
I enjoy helping students build confidence, improve problem-solving skills, and better understand concepts instead of just memorizing formulas. Whether you need help preparing for an exam, completing homework, reviewing class material, or strengthening foundational skills, I am happy to adapt lessons to your learning style and goals. My teaching approach is clear, encouraging, and organized, and I always want students to leave sessions feeling more confident than when they started.

I work with both high school and college students. My lessons are patient, clear, and focused on helping students actually understand the process, not just memorize steps. I work with students on algebra, precalculus, calculus, physics, and general STEM problem-solving. In each session, we can review homework, prepare for quizzes or exams, go through practice problems, and break down confusing concepts step by step. I adjust my teaching style based on the student’s needs, whether they need a full explanation from the beginning or just help getting unstuck. My goal is to make math feel less overwhelming and help students leave each session more confident. Available for finals review, homework help, and last-minute math/physics study sessions.
