About Sarah
I am a Guitar tutor with over 15 years of experience teaching college students. My lessons are fun, goal-oriented, and designed to help students achieve their musical ambitions while enjoying the process.
I teach chords, finger techniques, improvisation, and songs while making music theory easy to understand and practical. I also use interactive methods, play-along tracks, and recordings to make lessons engaging and effective.
Over the past 15 years, I’ve helped students improve technique, gain performance confidence, and explore creativity. My goal is to make learning Guitar a rewarding, personalised experience where students grow as musicians and enjoy playing every step of the way.

My teaching approach for guitar is built on creativity, mentorship, critical thinking, and accountability. I focus on helping students develop technical skills while exploring their own musical style. I encourage improvisation, experimentation, and songwriting, making lessons engaging and meaningful.
Mentorship is central to my method. I provide guidance, constructive feedback, and support to help students overcome challenges and grow in confidence. Critical thinking is developed through analysing songs, applying music theory practically, and solving musical challenges independently.
Accountability ensures consistent progress. We set realistic goals, track achievements, and celebrate improvements. Lessons combine exercises, practice, and creative projects tailored to each student.
Alongside guitar, I also teach music theory, composition, and improvisation. My aim is to cultivate confident, creative, and independent musicians who enjoy learning and expressing themselves through music.
