About Ojelabi Mathew

Hello! My name is Mathew, a native Nigerian Yoruba teacher and an experienced educator who is passionate about helping people learn and enjoy the Yoruba language.
Whether you are a complete beginner, learning Yoruba for travel, communication, family, marriage, culture, or simply because you want to connect with your Nigerian/Yoruba roots, I am here to help you.
My lessons are simple, practical, friendly and easy to understand. We will focus on useful everyday Yoruba, speaking and pronunciation, vocabulary, reading, writing, greetings, common expressions and Yoruba culture.
I teach children, teenagers and adults, and I carefully adjust each lesson to suit your level, age and personal learning goals.
You don't need to worry if you have never spoken Yoruba before. I am patient with beginners and will guide you step by step until you become more confident.
What you can expect: • Practical Yoruba conversations • Correct pronunciation and tones • Yoruba vocabulary and expressions • Reading and writing • Yoruba greetings and cultural expressions • Lessons designed around your personal goals • Friendly and relaxed learning environment
Your first lesson is FREE, so you can meet me, tell me what you want to achieve and experience my teaching style before deciding to continue.
Ẹ káàbọ̀! I look forward to helping you speak Yoruba with confidence.
