About Lily
I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Hispanic Studies, a Master of Arts in Spanish Linguistics, and a PhD in Spanish Language Education. During the past 13 years, I have worked with students from many backgrounds, helping them build confidence and practical language skills. My interest in Spanish began through cultural exploration, literature, and international communication. Teaching allows me to share that enthusiasm while supporting learners in achieving personal and professional goals. Helping students grow remains one of the most rewarding parts of my career.
My teaching philosophy focuses on clarity, patience, and meaningful communication. I believe students learn best when language is connected to authentic situations and practical use. Lessons are tailored to individual needs while maintaining a structured path toward improvement. Students receive supportive guidance that helps them build confidence and independence. This creates a positive and encouraging learning environment.
Outside teaching, I enjoy studying Spanish-speaking cultures, reading contemporary literature, and exploring language acquisition research. These interests bring fresh perspectives into my lessons and help keep learning engaging. Watching students achieve goals they once thought impossible is deeply satisfying.
