About Shreya

Hi, I'm Shreya! By profession, I'm a software engineer with 3+ years of experience building web applications — but teaching has always been a passion I've pursued alongside my career. For the past couple of years, I've been helping school-going kids build strong English skills, and I genuinely love watching a student go from hesitant to confident with the language.

I believe every child learns differently, and my job as a teacher is to figure out what clicks for your child — whether that's through stories, structured exercises, or simple everyday conversation. My engineering background has taught me to break down complex ideas into clear, simple steps, and I bring that same patience and structure into every English class.

I take teaching seriously: I come prepared for every session, track each student's progress, and keep parents in the loop on how their child is doing. My goal isn't just to help kids pass exams — it's to help them genuinely enjoy learning English and feel confident using it.

If you're looking for a reliable, patient, and approachable tutor for your child, I'd love to help them get there.

I believe learning English should feel natural, not forced — so I focus on building fluency through conversation, storytelling, and real-life practice rather than rote memorization. My sessions blend grammar fundamentals with spoken practice, so students learn to actually use the language confidently, not just recognize it on paper.

A typical class starts with a quick warm-up (reading aloud, vocabulary, or a short conversation) to build comfort, followed by focused work on the day's topic — grammar, comprehension, or writing — using simple, relatable examples. I like to end each session with a small speaking or writing exercise so the child leaves having actively practiced, not just listened.

Coming from a software engineering background, I bring a structured, logical way of breaking down concepts — which works especially well for tricky grammar rules and sentence structures that often confuse young learners. I'm patient, encouraging, and adapt my pace to each child's comfort level, since building confidence matters as much as correcting mistakes.

My classes are designed for school-going kids — primary and secondary level — looking to strengthen their spoken and written English, whether for schoolwork, exams, or everyday confidence.
