About Joash
I am currently a software engineer at a fintech company, but also have previous exposures at a proprietary trading firm and the wireless technology industry. I hold a First Class honours in Electrical and Electronic Engineering. Additionally, I achieved 6A*s and 3As in my GCSE back in 2017, and got 3A*s (Further Maths, Maths, Physics) and 1A (Chemistry) in A Levels. My main programming experiences lie in low-level (and currently low latency) systems, thereby providing me with a deeper understanding of computer architectures, data structures and different algorithms. I have been tutoring on Superprof for over 2 years now, with students who achieved A* in GCSE Computer Science and are now studying the subject further in A Levels. I usually aim to tailor my lessons to the needs of each student. I will gauge areas where they lack understanding on, and provide explanations and example questions to help them grasp the relevant key concepts. If they have practice questions from school (or any other sources) that they are having difficulties with, I will also take the time to guide them through as these allow me to better understand their level of understanding, and learn what works/doesn't work for them. My lessons typically last an hour per session but I am quite flexible depending on the preference of my student - as well as my availability on the particular day. I provide tuition for students up to GCSE and A Levels.

Perfect! I am so pleased with Joash! Not only has he managed to connect with my son from the very first lesson, but Joash has also identified my son’s gaps in Computer Science. Within just a few lessons, my son feels that he’s already made great progress. He now believes that he can achieve a top grade for his GCSE in the subject.
