About Soumalya
I belong to KOLKATA. In the very beginning, I started with vocal music under the guidance of my father Sri Sajal Chakraborty. I started learning Sitar under Pt. Harashankar Bhattacharya. In the last 26 years, I have been continuing my talim under legendary Sitar maestro Pt. Kushal Das.
Achievements:
1) Stood second in Doverlane Music Competition.
2) Stood first in All India Radio competition.
3) Got National Scholarship from Ministry of Culture.
4) Promoted A grade in All India Radio and Doordarshan
5) Performed NCPA at Mumbai several times
