About Mark
I am currently studying for an accelerated bachelor's with honours in music production and sound engineering at Point Blank Music School which I am on track to graduate with first class honours. In addition to this, I am also pursuing an ATCL in music theory from Trinity College of Music while working on a series of professional and personal projects in a wide variety of genres
Coming from a long line of teachers and educators, I’ve been teaching my friends and helping them pass their classes for as long as I can remember. I will create an individualized plan for your learning that can be as frequent or as infrequent as you want based on music school syllabi you may be interested in or personal targets you would like to reach.
I have worked as a vocal arranger, strings composer, music producer, short film composer as well as a sound designer for theatre productions. I can teach you from my wealth of academic and professional experience to assist you with your personal projects or help you with your learning journey.

Hi there! Nice to meet you!
I believe in meeting somebody where they are at to understand what they want out of music theory and production whether it be a personal goal, a professional one or a certification from a music board.
In our first lesson, we will assess your current level of understanding of music theory and production along with what you want to achieve in the future. From here we will outline the necessary skills you should develop to reach your goals as well as what lesson schedule best fits your routine.
I will also determine your learning style during this lesson so I can better understand how you absorb information and learn. This will also inform me whether I should write you any written notes, find or record video resources or create a series of tasks to build up to your final goal.
My experience in teaching comes from my own personal journey in education within two different universities and private lessons from a range of tutors. Throughout this time I not only excelled in my studies but also observed how my different tutors used their differing levels of expertise to teach their subjects. This has led me to be at the top of my class in my university's sound engineering and music production bachelor's while working on a wide range of professional projects in the industry.
The typical lesson will be 45 minutes to an hour long with optional work provided between one lesson and another.
I teach people at the beginner and intermediate levels from ages 12 and up.
