I charge the same rate, regardless of the level of instruction needed. However, I do strive to meet students where they are at educationally. I charge less for lessons through Zoom or another platform precisely because there are fewer out of pocket expenses for me. I offer the first lesson for free, with no obligation to continue lessons. This makes it easier for us to see how well my teaching style will match with the student. During this time, I would also like to see where the student is at on his or her journey through understanding the Bible, Theology, or Church History. If a student needs a book to help them understand a topic more deeply, and I happen to have a book that will help in that area, students are free to borrow from my personal library. I would also love to give book suggestions if I do not have a hard copy of a helpful book. I offer this service for free, because I believe that one of the most important things that I can do is to help others understand the Bible better, and resources should not be a limitation in this area.
