About Josef
My name's Josef and I'm a second year student at the University of Hertfordshire, studying music composition for film, games and media. I generally work as a freelance composer writing for film/game studios or adverts, but I also often get brought in to help orchestrate other composers' work, or to implement sound design into films and games. I've been an instrumentalist for around a decade, as well as a keen studier of theory and orchestration. I hope to be able to pass on my knowledge to students who are keen to improve their musical ability!

Lessons are flexible as every student will want to pursue different proficiencies - The lesson could involve: -Going through students' composition or essay work and helping them understand how to make improvements. (Either for GCSE, A-Level or Other) -Teaching general orchestration and composition practices -Tailored work depending on the desired style and genre Private lessons can be arranged to be up to an hour in length. They are generally intended for A-level (US - College) and below.

Perfect! Josef is an outstanding, talented and knowledgeable Music tutor! The passion he puts into teaching is contagious. I met Josef through my university degree. I’m not classically trained, so he has been a massive help in teaching me about how the orchestra works and learn music theory!!
