My name is Maya, and I am a second-year Law student at the University of Oxford. I am passionate about helping students understand law in a clear, structured and engaging way. My name is Maya, and I am a second-year Law student at the University of Oxford. My tutoring approach is supportive, structured and tailored to each student’s needs. I focus on helping students understand legal concepts clearly, develop strong essay-writing skills, and build confidence in applying the law to problem questions, case analysis and exams.
In my lessons, I usually begin by identifying the student’s goals and areas for improvement. I then use a mixture of clear explanations, discussion, worked examples, essay planning and exam-style practice. I encourage students to think critically and ask questions, while also giving practical guidance on structure, argument, clarity and legal reasoning.
A typical lesson lasts around 60 minutes, although this can be adjusted depending on the student’s needs. My lessons are suitable for GCSE, A Level and undergraduate law students, as well as students preparing for law admissions or wanting support with legal essay writing and study skills.
As an Oxford law student, I have experience with demanding legal reading, essay writing, tutorials and exam preparation. I aim to make law feel more approachable while helping students improve their academic technique and confidence.
