About Cody
Hello! My name is Cody Morrison and I am an experienced audio professional with over 20 years of live sound and studio experience. I'm also a seasoned educator who has taught beginners through professionals—with a proven track record of training a diverse set of students.
My current day job is the Lead Faculty for Audio Production Online at the Los Angeles Film School, so rest assured that I'm capable of addressing a wide range of audio engineering content, with a balanced perspective and understanding of what is needed in the real-world.
Additionally, as a multi-instrumentalist, classically trained percussionist, and diverse performer, I understand and can relate to the needs of creative professionals.
I look forward to meeting you and working through your audio engineering obstacles together!

I believe in a hands-on approach to learning that empowers students to unlock their creative potential.
As a seasoned educator experienced in teaching technical skills, my method is rooted in practical application and tailored to each student's unique learning style. Whether you're a beginner looking to grasp the fundamentals or an intermediate student aiming to refine your skills, I can provide personalized guidance at every step of the way. From understanding the basics of audio equipment to mastering advanced mixing and mastering techniques, I cover it all.
I generally start by assessing your current knowledge and goals, then craft a customized lesson plan to address your specific needs. Lessons may include interactive demonstrations, hands-on exercises, guided practice sessions, and constructive feedback to ensure steady progress.
I am committed to fostering a supportive learning environment where experimentation is encouraged, mistakes are embraced as part of the learning process, and creativity flourishes. I prioritize a holistic approach to audio engineering, focused technical proficiency, artistic expression, and critical listening skills.
