About Shaheera

Hi! I'm a Secondary 4 graduate from Singapore Chinese Girls' School (SCGS), currently awaiting my entry to Eunoia Junior College (EJC) next year. I am a patient, responsible and approachable individual who enjoys working with children and supporting their learning journey. Through my volunteering experience with Touch Young Arrows and the Buddy Mentorship Program, I have gained experience tutoring children from lower-income families and helping them build confidence in their abilities. I hope to make learning Mathematics an enjoyable and rewarding experience for every student!

My approach to tutoring focuses on building a strong understanding of mathematical concepts while helping students gain confidence in their abilities. I explain concepts step by step, demonstrate worked examples and guide students through practice questions. I also encourage students to ask questions and learn from their mistakes, adapting my teaching pace to their individual needs.

Having tutored children from lower-income families through Touch Young Arrows and the Buddy Mentorship Programme, I have developed patience, empathy and experience explaining concepts clearly to students. As a student in the SCGS Integrated Programme, I understand the importance of building strong foundations and practising consistently.

Lessons typically last 1–2 hours and are suitable for Singapore primary school students from Primary 1 to Primary 6. I aim to create a supportive learning environment where students can strengthen their understanding, improve their problem-solving skills and become more confident in Mathematics.
