About Anshuman
I have coached Basket-Ball, Cricket and Athletics teams, coming from a small town in India, training with limited resources meant self coaching and Captains of the teams had a huge responsibility of training the squad and the junior age groups as well.
I have always found 4 steps of training extremely helpful and still use same methodology for my own training;
1- Drills and techniques (30% effort)
2- Physical Fitness and Cardiovascular endurance (20%)
3- Match Practice / Nets / Shootings / Time Trials (40%)
4- Mental agility / Teamwork / Spirit building / Yoga / Motivational discussions (10%)
Step 3, is the most important in practice, but step 4 is where everything comes together; as a team ready to outperform themselves by giving their 100%, on and off the field.I am a Mechanical Engineer and Business Consultant by profession, but I have been a sportsman all my life.
A played my first state level Basket-Ball tournament at the age of 14, I went on to play multiple tournaments and captained the team in some of them.
I was also part of the university athletics team and participated 4 national athletic meets in 2006, 2007, 2010 and 2011.
I currently participate in various corporate and leisure events in and around Melbourne, Athletics, Basket-ball and Marathon running.
