I teach operatic technique, applicable to a variety of singing styles. I teach online, which is really effective. Best of all, you won’t have to leave the house! I have plenty of online material to aid the lessons; you will have access to this material when practising at home. Lessons are one hour long. I teach adults of all ages, levels and aspirations. Whether your level is beginner or advanced; whether you want to become a professional singer, sing in a chorus, or whether it's just for fun, I will help you develop and improve your abilities! Lessons focus on breathing, freeing up the voice, body awareness, eliminating tension, extending vocal range, increasing power, conquering pitch and tone issues, improving confidence. I can coach repertoire in Italian, French, German and English. You are welcome to read more reviews on my Facebook page: London Singing Coach

Find out more about Daniele

  • When did you first develop a passion for music and your favourite instrument?

I started singing for my parents when I was 2 years old! I’ve always wanted to be a singer. I was playing records all the time throughout my childhood.
  • Is there a particular type of music or artist that you listen to on a loop without it driving you crazy?

I like many different genres of music: classical, pop, jazz, world, electronic. Some of my favourite artists: Billie Holiday, Jessye Norman, Duke Ellington, Igor Stravinsky, Elis Regina, Nils Frahm, Amy Winehouse.
  • Explain to us the most difficult or riveting course you could personally give to a student of music.

I only teach one-on-one, so all my courses are personal, and targeted to the individual student. With every lesson, I try to challenge the student by making them do something they have not done before. Learning how to sing is very gradual, and resembles learning a sport: you need to stretch your body and your abilities a tiny little more every time.
  • What do you think is the most complicated instrument to master and why?

All instruments are difficult to master, but the voice is perhaps the most complicated, as: 1. You cannot see the instrument (it is inside you!) 2. You are learning to play an instrument, but you also are the instrument, which makes it more exposed and personal.
  • What are your keys to success?

Dedication, hard work - and being the best possible version of yourself.
  • Name three musicians you dream of meeting in your favourite bar in the early hours of the morning. Explain why.

    1. Nils Frahm, to ask him how he manages to produce the amazing sounds he conjures up when he plays live; 2. Dua Lipa, to ask her if I could direct one of her music videos (I am also a filmmaker); 3. Joni Mitchell, just to listen to her talk.
  • Provide a valuable anecdote related to music or your days at music school.

I moved from Rome to London to train at the Royal College of Music. It was the best decision of my life. The college was amazing, and I was lucky enough to train with two wonderful teachers - Kenneth Woollam, and Graziella Sciutti. I learned so much in my two years there. Later, I became a teacher at the same college, and I also directed two sets of opera scenes there. I have also worked as a coach and director in opera for many other theatres in the UK and Europe. I would say to a young singer: follow your dream, like I did.
  • What are the little touches that make you a Superprof in music?

I always try to tailor my lessons to the student I am working with, and to listen to what they have to say. The lesson is really about them, and the most important thing for me is that the student can fully develop their potential!
