My tutoring approach is centred around patience, clarity, and building real understanding. I use a mix of demonstrations and guided exercises to help students not only solve problems, but also grasp the reasoning behind each step. I start most lessons by working through an example relevant to the topic, breaking it down in a clear and approachable way. I always go at the student’s pace and encourage questions throughout. Then, I give them some exercises to try. Depending on how confident they feel, I either guide them step-by-step or let them work independently with support when needed. Lessons typically last one hour, though I’m flexible if a student needs more time or prefers shorter sessions. My lessons are best suited for UK secondary school students, particularly those aged 12 to 16. Nevertheless, I’m happy to support younger or older students depending on their needs and goals, and I have experience coaching students of other age ranges too. I also have experience tutoring students who mainly speak Spanish (as I am fluent) and students with learning disabilities.
