About Becky
Hi, I'm Becky, and I genuinely love helping people discover that they can do maths.
One of the most rewarding parts of my job is seeing the moment when something that once seemed impossible suddenly makes sense. I know that maths can feel overwhelming or intimidating, but I firmly believe that with patience, encouragement and the right explanation, everyone can make progress.
My aim is to create a relaxed, supportive environment where no question is a silly question. I enjoy getting to know how each student learns best and adapting my teaching to suit them. Whether you're looking to boost your confidence, improve your grades, prepare for GCSEs or A Levels, or simply understand topics that have never quite clicked, I'm here to help.
For me, tutoring isn't just about passing exams—it's about building confidence, developing problem-solving skills and helping students leave each lesson believing in themselves a little more than when they arrived.

With nearly 20 years of experience teaching mathematics, I am passionate about helping students gain confidence and achieve their goals. I have held leadership roles including Deputy Head of Mathematics, Head of Key Stage 4, and Head of Key Stage 5, giving me extensive experience teaching a wide range of ages and abilities, from struggling learners to those aiming for the highest grades.
I believe that everyone can succeed in maths with the right support. Every student learns differently, so I have developed a variety of ways to explain and break down topics into simple, manageable steps. My lessons are engaging, supportive and tailored to each student's individual needs, helping them to enjoy learning while building confidence.
Whether you're preparing for GCSEs, A Levels or simply looking to strengthen your understanding, I will work with you at your own pace in a relaxed and encouraging environment. Over the years, I have helped hundreds of students improve their confidence, understanding and results, and I take great pride in seeing them realise they are capable of far more than they ever thought possible.

Becky is a brilliant teacher. My step daughter had been struggling with GSCE maths and had been moved down to a lower group at school. Within a few months of working with Becky, she had been moved back up and Becky caught her up on all the stuff she had missed as well as helping her to understand areas that she was struggling with. My step daughter even got a mention in assembly for how much her maths has improved! She looked forward to the lessons and loved working with Becky (and has asked to see her for a celebration come results day!)
