Hi! I'm Bethanie—a UK-qualified teacher with over 7 years’ experience, currently working as an Assistant Head in a British curriculum school here in Dubai. I specialise in Early Years and Key Stage 1, and I absolutely love helping children build confidence and make real progress in their learning. As a fully qualified UK Early Years teacher with over 7 years of classroom experience, I specialise in teaching children from FS1 to Year 2, with a strong focus on early literacy, phonics, communication, and maths. I currently work as an Assistant Headteacher in EYFS at a British curriculum school in Dubai, where I lead on early years assessment, curriculum design, and phonics provision. My tutoring sessions are tailored to the individual needs of each child, using a play-based, multi-sensory approach to ensure learning is fun, engaging, and effective. I use a blend of phonics-based strategies (such as Letters and Sounds or Little Wandle), interactive games, hands-on resources, and personalised challenges to build confidence and close learning gaps. Lessons are typically 45 minutes to an hour, depending on the age and concentration level of the child. I always ensure there's a balance between focused instruction and child-led exploration, so children remain motivated and enjoy their learning journey.
