About Erika
Teaching English has been my profession for over ten years, and in that time I have worked with hundreds of learners — from young children taking their first steps in literacy to adults sitting high-stakes language exams. That range of experience means I know what works at every stage and can get started with any student straight away.
My qualifications speak for themselves. I hold a PGCE, a CELTA, and a British Council IELTS training certification — three of the most respected credentials in English teaching. I am also a native speaker, which matters when it comes to the finer points of language that textbooks do not always cover.
I take punctuality, preparation, and communication seriously. Every lesson is planned around your goals, and I keep parents and adult learners updated on progress throughout.
I have a strong record of results and am happy to share recommendations from previous students and families on request.

My lessons are structured but adapt to what each learner needs. I start by finding out where a student is — their level, their goals, and any gaps — and work from there.
For younger learners on the UK curriculum, I build confidence alongside skills, using exercises, guided reading, writing practice, and exam technique as they move through Key Stages and into GCSE and A Level. For ESOL, IELTS, and TOEFL students, I draw on my British Council IELTS training to work across all four skills, with close attention to the formats and criteria examiners use.
Lessons are usually 60 minutes, with 90-minute sessions available for exam preparation.
I hold a CELTA, a PGCE, and a British Council IELTS training qualification, and have been teaching English online for over ten years.
Lessons suit learners from Year 2 through to A Level, adult ESOL students at any level, and anyone preparing for IELTS or TOEFL — from complete beginners to those going for a high band score.
