About Kanchana
I have a Master of Arts in psychology from Massey University, New Zealand. Over 10 years’ of experience in quantitative and qualitative research in the Health and Social Science sectors. I was a Teaching Assistant for the Department of Psychology at Massey University for three years and tutored a Psychology university student privately during this time. Psychology tutoring experience involved marking assignments and exams, developing marking criteria, and providing lesson guidance and support to excel in their studies. I have mentored and tutored students of various ages and backgrounds from children to adults with English as a second language. Experienced in reviewing manuscripts, collaborating on successful grant applications, developing analytical and research reports, and conducting literature reviews.

I have a Masters in Psychology, over 4 years of teaching and tutoring experience, and over 10 years of research experience. I teach and mentor university students in Psychology. My teaching method is a student-centred learning approach that is personalised and tailored to the individual student’s needs. I base my classes on a student-directed learning plan based on topics, skills, or particular projects that the student needs support with and structure lessons accordingly, advancing at the student’s pace.

Perfect! Kanchana has been a really great tutor. Our first lesson had a very informal layout but she took the time to go review one of the assigmments I had and prepare meaingful feedback that she could explain to me. At the end of the lesson she also emailed me the document with the feedback on it so I could review it in my own time. Couldn't ask for a better tutor!
